COMMON QUESTIONS?

What should I expect when visiting?
We're excited that you've decided to join us! You can expect to be greeted with a friendly smile and directed to our main sanctuary. Our santuary has open seating, so sit where you feel most comfortable.

How long is a normal  service and What is the service format?
You can expect a two-hour service. Sunday service begins at 10:00am with worship. Worship lasts for approxiately 30 minutes and consists of songs accompanied by various musical instruments. We, then, have church announcements followed by the offering. The service concludes with a 45 minute sermon and closing prayer.

Is there a Dress Code?
There is no dress code for our church. Whether you come in jeans and sneakers or dress clothes, you are welcome and will blend in. On any given Sunday there is a mix of people dressed down and dressed up. Traditionally, every 4th Sunday,  the entire church dresses down.

Do you provide childcare?
At this time, we do not provide childcare. Children of all ages are welcome in the sanctuary. School age children are directed to exit to classrooms during the time of the sermon so that they may learn about God's word in an age appropriate way.

What is worship like at Turning Point?
Worship consists of a small group of singers on stage usually accompanied by piano and drums. Song selections range from traditional songs, gospel, and contemporary worship music. There are two electronic screens that display the song lyrics.
The people of the congregation are welcome to stand or sit during worship. You may see people singing aloud, clapping, raising their hands, and even dancing.
The dance ministry joins in on the praise and worship service on 3rd Sundays.

Is there a variety of ethnicities and ages?
Turning Point is proud to say that we have a variety of age groups from newborn to senior citizens. We are a multicultural, multiethnic church that welcomes people of varying backgrounds.
